"Judgecraft Programme for New Judicial Commissioners" was held on 20th September 2024 at the Meeting Room, Judicial Appointments Commission, Palace of Justice, Putrajaya. This course aimed as introduction of judgecraft to newly appointed Judicial Commissioners.

A total of three participants who have been newly appointed as Judicial Commissioners attended this course, including The Honourable Tuan Eddie Yeo Soon Chye, Judicial Commissioner of the Kuala Lumpur High Court; The Honourable Tuan Suhendran Sockanathan @ Saheran Abdullah, Judicial Commissioner of the Kuala Lumpur High Court; and The Honourable Puan Elaine Yap Chin Gaik, Judicial Commissioner of the Shah Alam High Court.

This half-day course began with an opening remarks delivered by The Honourable Dato’ Sri Hasnah binti Dato’ Mohammed Hashim, the Federal Court Judge cum Chairman of the Training Committee, Judicial Academy Malaysia. This course has been conducted in the form of Powerpoint presentation, talks, facilitators' discussions with the participants and a question-and-answer sessions. Throughout this course, the facilitators have provided input and shared experiences with the participants in order to make the understanding on the topic judgecraft becomes clearer.

The facilitator of this course were The Honourable Dato’ Sri Hasnah binti Dato’ Mohammed Hashim,The Honourable Dato’ Nordin bin Hassan and The Honourable Datuk Vazeer Alam bin Mydin Meera Federal Court Judges. A total of two topics were presented by the facilitators in this course namely “Judgecraft (How to Conduct Cases in Open Court/Chambers Writing Grounds of Judgment)” and “Case Management/Mediation”. Meanwhile, a talk on "Judges Remuneration Act" were presented by the Office of the Chief Registrar, Federal Court of Malaysia.
