In carrying out the functions of the Judicial Appointments Commission, the Government has established a secretariat for the Judicial Appointments Commission (Secretariat of the Commission), the Office of the Secretary, Judicial Appointments Commission by the Warrant of Employment Number A12 of 2009 dated January 28, 2009, effective on February 1, 2009
The functions of the Office of the Secretary, of the Judicial Appointments Commission are to:
- Manage the appointments of members of the Judicial Appointments Commission under subsections 5 (1) (e) and (f) of Act 695;
- Process all proposals and applications for the election and appointment of a superior court judges;
- Prepare all documents for commission’s;
- Implement the Commission's decision;
- Provide tentative schedule of Commission Meetings;
- Prepare annual report;
- Conduct a reviews of the administration of justice
- Prepare memorandums of the Cabinet / feedback for the Cabinet Meeting; and
- Develop and maintain the website of the Judicial Appointments Commission.
